No false hope. No tears. No excuses.

This was my astrological reading for today. Funny not funny, I know. But I thought, if it’s good enough for me it’s good enough for us all.

I particularly like the first three words: No False Hope. Aka, what action will I take on my own behalf? Me – pull myself out of my summer road trip along Australia’s east coast and write a newsletter to kickstart the working year.

You?

See the woman on the right?

She’s the one who gave the 2023 graduation speech in December, specifically the importance to your health and wellbeing of acting on your longing, whatever that might be. (This is what our Bali retreat is for, fyi.)

The woman on the left is one of two spectacular women to support the one on the right to research and write a PhD in three years: Professors Jane Shakespeare-Finch and Jill Franz.

That PhD informs a solid series of writing programs developed over the past 10 years. The world has known for some time that writing is good for health and wellbeing. Thanks to these three women, we now know how it works.

That ‘how’ is integral to all our writing programs. So – no more wishing. No false hope. No crossed fingers. No tears. No excuses.

You want to turn your experience, expertise, wisdom, thesis into a resource for others?
TRUST CHANGE. We have a 4-week program that will guide you as you plan your book, start writing your book and keep you going with your book.

Don’t take my word for it – ask Patt Gregory.

Patt has been teaching woodwork for 30 years and is now writing a handbook for woodwork teachers.

“This program is brilliant. Steph’s guidance is unbelievably productive, insightful and clever. Thanks to my diligence and Steph’s voice in my head encouraging me to reach for better words, I have turned a corner. Feeling optimistic and energetic! My book is well underway.”

You want to write something of importance to you?
TRUST CHANGE. Our revamped Write of Passage is very very good at getting people who do not think of themselves as ‘a writer’ to start writing and keep going.

Don’t take my word for it – check out what others have to say.

Writing – stepping forward for your longing – changes everything. Everything. Why? Because you trusted more than the false hope of an avoiding heart and excuses that lead absolutely nowhere.

You trusted change.

TRUST CHANGE. No false hope. No tears. No excuses.

Regardless of who you are, what you want to write, your writing experience, your writing confidence or the nature of your longing, you’ve got this. We’ve got this.
