Booking cancellations: writing programs, retreats, community events

Writing programs

Registration in all online and in person workshops and programs to be paid in full at the time of booking, unless by prior arrangement with the International Wellbeing-through-writing Institute (IWWI).

1. Cancellations up to 4 weeks prior to program starting date: 50% refund*. You are welcome to transfer the remaining 50% to another program at another date, with the balance of the full payment due on registration for the new program. You are welcome to gift, sell or otherwise transfer your registration to another person.

2. Cancellations within 4 weeks of program starting date: no refund*. You may however rebook another program at another date, with any remaining balance of the full payment due on registration to the new program. You are welcome to gift, sell or otherwise transfer your registration to another person. 

Retreats

Registration in all retreats is confirmed with full payment due prior to 6 weeks of retreat starting date, unless by prior arrangement with the International Wellbeing-through-writing Institute (IWWI).

1. Retreat bookings are secured with a 50% non-refundable deposit*. Payment in full is due 6 weeks prior to retreat starting date. Failure to communicate with us and/or to pay will result in forfeiture of the booking and deposit. If you need additional time to make your payment and/or would like to work out a payment plan, please contact us. You are welcome to transfer your deposit or payment in full to another person, providing they meet the conditions of the retreat.

2. Retreat cancellations within 6 weeks of retreat starting date: no refund*. You are welcome to gift, sell or otherwise transfer your registration to another person on the same retreat which you had booked.

In-person community events

Payment for community events is due in full once event details such as dates and locations have been finalised, unless by prior arrangement with the International Wellbeing-through-writing Institute (IWWI).

1. Payments are not refundable on event cancellation by the booking organisation or individual*.
2. Payments will be refunded in full if IWWI cancels the event or the event must be cancelled due to government mandated restrictions, such as travel bans and/or restrictions on event numbers and those restrictions exceed numbers in the scheduled event.
3. Event dates and locations can be changed on discussion and agreement with IWWI.

* We are a start-up business. Our cancellation policies reflect our commitment to our clients and participants. We work hard to secure the optimal resources necessary to support our programs. Our workshops, programs, retreats, and events run in small numbers to ensure maximum personal benefit for all participants. Our cancellation policies reflect the time and financial resources expended in promotion, preparation, planning, and booking. Thank you for your understanding.
